LocationsPatagonia, UshuaiaNorway, Lofoten Islands, Sweden (Kiruna)Morocco Magellanic Penguins - island off of Ushuaia Calafate Lake Argentina next to El Calafate. The color of the water is intense turquoise (the photo doesn’t do it justice). Fed from Perito Moreno. Perito Moreno The first southern hemisphere glacier that I climbed. Absolutely exhilarating journey - fortunately, the weather was good and we didn’t have to resort to huddling in makeshift tents. The scale of the glacier is enormous. This shot is taken from a hilltop (moving bus actually) from about 40 miles away. A closer look Ferry to the southern shore where the trailhead was. There was a fair bit of calving so we had to keep a safe distance. Scale You can see the scale of the glacier. The left side is obscured by a cliff and the right side curves around so you can’t see the other edge. It’s truly enormous and majestic. Sky, glacier, water I like this one since it captures all three and it takes me back to what it felt like to be there at that moment.
